If you want to BUY used tanning salon equipment...please keep aware of these MAJOR PITFALLS!

1.  Make sure you get a guarantee that the bed will work when it gets there...almost half of all used tanning beds do not arrive with all the parts needed to turn it on and operate it commercially.
2.  Make sure you understand who will pay for damages during shipping...at least half of all used stuff gets scratched, dented, broken acrylics ($200 each) and broken lamps ($12 each) by the time they arrive in make-shift packaging.
3.  Be aware of the cost to replace all the lamps and acrylics in the tanning bed you buy, usually between $400-$1000 per bed.  Because you would be sending the wrong message to your customers to open business with spent lamps from a salon that most likely failed because they did not change their lamps often enough.
4.  Know where you can buy replacement parts for that model because most mfg's do not provide parts for beds over 4 years old and you may be buying an obsolete unit.
